Nearly 50 years after Wee Sing began, Wee Sing Productions has acquired ownership of the Wee Sing trademark—an important milestone as we look toward the brand’s next chapter.
Nearly 50 years after the first Wee Sing book was created, the Wee Sing name has reached another important milestone.
Wee Sing Productions has acquired ownership of the Wee Sing trademark from Penguin Random House, bringing ownership of the brand name to the company focused on carrying Wee Sing forward for future generations.
Wee Sing began in 1977 when music educators Pamela Conn Beall and Susan Hagen Nipp created and self-published the first Wee Sing book. What started as a single collection of children’s songs grew into a beloved children’s music brand, eventually encompassing dozens of books and recordings, live-action videos, apps, and other products enjoyed by families around the world.
For many years, the Wee Sing publishing business and trademark were part of Penguin and its predecessor companies, while Pam and Susan continued their creative involvement with the series.
Today, Wee Sing Productions is building on that legacy—bringing the catalog to new platforms, developing new projects, and finding new ways for children and families to learn through music.
Acquiring the Wee Sing trademark represents both a return to our roots and an important step toward the future.
As Wee Sing approaches its 50th anniversary in 2027, we’re excited to begin this next chapter with the Wee Sing name once again under the stewardship of the people dedicated to growing the brand for the generations ahead.

Wee Sing Productions is currently developing Wee Sing Camp, a new animated preschool series inspired by the same ideas that have been at the heart of Wee Sing since the beginning: learning through music, active participation, imagination, friendship, and fun.

Wee Sing Camp is still in development, and we look forward to sharing more about the project as it grows.

The Wee Sing & Learn collection is making its way to today’s digital platforms.
The series combines music with early-learning themes including letters, colors, opposites, dinosaurs, and bugs—helping children learn through singing, repetition, and play.
Wee Sing & Learn e-books are already available digitally, and we are now working to bring the companion music albums to streaming and digital music services as well.
Making these titles available in new formats is part of our continuing effort to make the Wee Sing library easier for today’s families to discover and enjoy.
More releases are on the way.
